Sack the board
Fact is, we were sold down a river to move to this unfit-for-purpose Olympic Stadium, yet our net spend is 50% that of Newcastle's this summer (whose fans and manager have rightly been complaining).

The owners are only interesting in making a lot of money out of this club and it's time for them to go.

Who exactly is going to sack them? They own the club.

Re: Sack the board
Ignore the spend and look at the actual squad. We're light years ahead of them and Payet aside the Manager has been serving up dross mostly for over 18 months.

The board have equipped him with a squad that should be handing out a lesson...not being schooled.

As much as I like him, the buck stops with Bilic on this one

Bilic is a poor manager but the board are still not fulfilling their promises

Re: Sack the board
they are amateurs. what is the ratio, three players out to one player in over the summer? how does that make any manager's job easier? all they're about is 4th from bottom each year, keep the tv money rolling in and fuck any ambition. sell the ground for what? we still have the debt and the standard of football gets worse

shit stadium, injuries everywhere, £10m net spend this window, 4 games away to start the season and a manager who has not got a clue

Sack the board if they continue to employ bilic

Re: Sack the board
They should be sacked on the account of continuing to employ a manager who can't get the best out of a squad that contains Hart, zabaleta, Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Noble, Kouyate, Antonio, Arnatovic, Hernandez.

Bilic is a poor manager and needs to go.

Well the board and owners are not the first order of action,

93 or so goals conceded in 50 odd games. The manager is 95% the problem

EXACTLY THAT. And anyway, you would expect Newcastle to blow a load of dosh... they have just been promoted and (in theory) should be in need of far more PL level players than us...

Regardless of what we perceive to be the 'quality' of the new arrivals, this squad, properly trained, professionally motivated and organised, should be frightening the crap out of the majority of clubs in the PL. Even the Chosen One said so, and I do believe he meant it, too.

With the little I know about training players, they give out all the signs of simply being 'schooled' en masse, rather than being pulled aside as individuals and put through the wringer on their every move and thought processes.

Lack of attention to detail. It's the West Ham way.

Re: Sack the board
Yep, it's only the dastardly Slaven Bilic at fault for this blip in our Boards amazing track record in propelling a football club forward.

Stubbo 8:08 Sat Aug 26
Re: Sack the board
Bilic isn't dastardly.

He's a bloody good bloke, clearly feels for (or at least understands) the club, is knowledgable, intelligent and likeable.

I don't know anyone that doesn't like Bilic. Sadly it doesn't make him what we need which is a good manager that plays good football.

Today was frankly a high quality manager with an average squad against a poor manager with an above average squad and we saw how that turns out.

Those defending Bilic...what are the traits of a good manager that make him qualified to continue in the role? I wanted him to succeed and be what we need...but he's got to go.

If you continually spend tens of millions on players aged no younger than 27, you'd better be winning today, because you are not winning tomorrow.

Hang on, if the board is sacked, who will sack Bilic?

Re: Sack the board
Emotive crap. You can't sack the owners of the club. You can only make it unpleasant for them so that they start listening instead of bullshitting....

They've bought masses of players and are trying to keep existing key players well paid. The real problem is that they refuse to recognise that the manager is shit because to do so means paying him off which goes against their grain....

Re: Sack the board
Stubbo, I know he isn't, I was pissing around.

What I think in general, is that Sullivan (by his own admission), thinks that football management is overrated.

i can't see them appointing a fully proven manager any time soon.

I can see them continuing to do as they always have done, with the same results.

There are common denominators in the span of their running football clubs, and their impeccable record, which includes getting a top tier club relegated 3 times in 5 seasons.

And it isn't the manager.
